The Crisis

THE EDUCATION CRISIS

We say that ‘A child is the future of the nation’ but our population count states that 1 out of 4 people in our country is below the age of 14 year which means we have an ample of strength, with potential skills & abilities that can be shaped & molded to his / her best capabilities. Education is not just a fundamental right, but a path that leads to a better tomorrow.

If we throw a light on the Annual Status of Education Report (ASER), the graph signifies that the percentage of Std III children who could do a 2-digit subtraction was 20.2% in 2016, and among students who could read words (regardless of grade), roughly 60% could explain the meanings of the words they read. Of those who could read sentences, 62.4% in Std V could explain the meaning of the sentences. The survey was conducted in the year 2016.

The moment we focus on the attendance part, it comprises of not more than 60% of students getting enrolled. There are certain geographical areas within our country that are breathing the social tensions,

Children residing in these geographical areas, are still deprived of the education where reaching their education institutions on an everyday basis is a hurdle for them.

We, at the Gurukulians Foundation, are trying to bridge a gap between the barriers that come in a way of a child’s education & give them the canvas of opportunities by working together as a team & accomplishing our motto to educate every child!
